UBMDP: Urban Building Mesh Decoupling and Polygonization

With the development of photogrammetry, digital city, and metaverse, three-dimensional representation urban buildings has attracted more attention. As main form 3D building model, triangular mesh model deficiencies such as high complexity, data volume, low structural information, which seriously restrict its application in spatial analysis planning. This paper proposes a hybrid modeling strategy geared toward generated from oblique images to obtain models that are compact, manifold, watertight, have certain semantic information. First all, when planar region topology graph been established, decoupling is designed set relatively independent sub-graphs hierarchical structure. After that, improve quality, optimization parallel planes also studied systematically. Then we adopt divide-and-conquer perform data-driven model-driven for primary ancillary structures. Finally, component-level simple polygon combination generated. Experiments prove proposed method excellent visual authenticity, completeness advantages, decent LoD3 ability. simplification method,the compressed 0.11%-0.75% Hausdorff metric around 0.3m, further proves this state-of-the-art.
